Praise: Proclaiming the Glory of God
Seven years ago today my mother passed away. She’s missed so much in our families’ lives these past seven years. It makes me sad that mom wasn’t around to see the publication of my husband’s and my seven book Be Still photo devotional series. Although she never read my books, I’d like to think she would have liked them and would have loved Jon’s photos. I look forward to the day when we’ll get to enjoy them together in God’s Kingdom and proclaim his glory together forever. The journey to Reynosa, Mexico was a profound experience, highlighting the power of compassion and resourcefulness. Our abundance of supplies and volunteers mirrored the story of the Israelites building the tabernacle in the desert. The message resonates with the idea that what may seem insufficient in our hands becomes more than enough in the hands of Jesus. Continue reading
Reynosa, Mexico – Loaves and Fishes
The trip to Reynosa came after a lesson on the Loaves and Fishes which told of Jesus’ compassion for the needy and his ability to multiply resources. God has also given us so much that we can use to meet the needs of others, just as Roland and Carolyn Ashby did in Reynosa.
